Penny Lane… Our Beginnings

Artisan Statement:

I saw someone on TV making a bar of soap about fifteen years ago and I thought that I should start making my own soap because I had really dry sensitive skin and commercial soaps were too harsh for my skin. I did start making my own soap and I became very interested in natural skin care. My business began as a hobby and a need for better quality skin care for myself; thankfully, what began as a hobby is now a woman-owned, business. As the years passed, I began making lotions and other products and experimenting with herbs and botanical oils and immersed myself in all the books and research I could find about natural body care treatments. As my business grew, my love for botanicals, especially lavender, essential oils and fragrance oils grew, as well!

I am a Christian and I thank God for all my many blessings. I am very blessed and thankful for my wonderful husband … who has always supported me in my endeavors and is quite the talented wood-worker, our sons and grandchildren, my Mom who is beautiful inside and out, our family and friends, and each of my customers (I would not be here without them) … which is why I say … I’m drinking from my saucer cause my cup has overflowed!
